Dana T. Farmer joined Durham Jones & Pinegar on December 1, 2017, as a shareholder in the firm’s Litigation Section. His practice focuses on construction, real estate and tax, including both litigation and transactions in those practice areas. He is a member of the Utah, Idaho and Wyoming State Bar associations.

Prior to joining us, Farmer was a managing partner at Smith Knowles in Ogden. For over 20 years Mr. Farmer has successfully represented his clients-primarily subcontractors and construction material suppliers – in state & federal courts, with selling and merging their businesses, and lobbying the Utah Legislature for and against laws affecting subcontractors and material suppliers.

Farmer is General Counsel to the American Subcontractors Association-Utah Chapter, Utah Plumbing & Heating Contactors Association, and Utah Construction Suppliers Association. As a registered lobbyist, he Legislative Counsel to the Utah Subcontractors Association, National Electrical Contractors Association-Intermountain Chapter, and Independent Electrical Contractors Association of Utah. In the community Farmer is a member of the Board of Directors for Lantern House, and the Advisory Boards of the Utah State University College of Science and Weber State University Center for Tax Education & Research.
