DURHAM JONES & PINEGAR ELECTS 2018 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Shareholders at Durham Jones & Pinegar appointed nine attorneys to the firm’s Board of Directors. The nine-member Board of Directors will serve for one year. The board manages the affairs of the firm. Those elected include Mark L. Astling, R. Blake Hamilton, Richard M. Hymas, Jeffrey M. Jones, N. Todd Leishman, Joshua E. Little, Kevin R. Pinegar, Douglas B. Thayer and David W. Tufts.

N. Todd Leishman is the firm’s Chief Executive Officer and President and a member of the Business & Finance section whose practice focuses on Mergers & Acquisitions. Leishman is listed in Chambers USA and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America© for Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions Law and Securities/Capital Markets Law and has been named “Lawyer of the Year” by Best lawyers in 2012 for Securities/Capital Markets Law, and in 2016 and 2018 for Mergers and Acquisitions Law. He also has been listed in Mountain States Super Lawyers from 2007 to 2017.

 

 

Richard M. Hymas is the firm’s Chief Operations Officer and a member of the Litigation and Employment section. Jeffrey M. Jones is the firm’s Chief Marketing Officer, co-founder of the firm and a member of the Business & Finance section. His practice concentrates on corporate and securities matters and he regularly represents public and private companies in a broad range of matters. Jones is listed in Chambers USA, has been listed in Mountain States Super Lawyers from 2007 to 2017, and is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America© for Corporate Law and Mergers and Acquisitions Law.

 

 

Joshua E. Little is the firm’s Chief Financial Officer. He has served on the firm’s Board of Directors since 2010 and served as the Managing Attorney of the firm’s St. George office between 2010 and his appointment as CFO in 2018.  Mr. Little is a member of the Firm’s Business & Finance Section where he represents public and private companies in a range of corporate finance and business combination transactions. Little maintains an “AV” rating with Martindale-Hubbell.

 

 

Mark L. Astling is a member of the firm’s Tax and Business & Finance sections and advises on a variety of corporate and individual federal and state tax issues. Astling has been listed in the Mountain States Super Lawyers since 2014 and named in The Best Lawyers in America© for Tax Law since 2016.

 

 

 

Blake Hamilton is a trial lawyer in the firm’s Litigation section, where he heads up the firm’s Governmental Entity Defense Group. In addition to defending governmental entities, he also practices in complex civil litigation, health care licensing and privileging, and complex criminal defense. He was named as the Utah State Bar’s Young Lawyer of the Year in 2013, and has consistently been listed in the Mountain States Super Lawyers and Utah Legal Elite since 2010.

 

 

Kevin R. Pinegar is a member of the firm’s Business & Finance section and is a co-founder of the firm. From 2007 to 2018 he was the firm’s President and CEO. He counsels clients on a broad range of corporate, securities and business-related matters. Pinegar was named “Lawyer of the Year” in 2013 and 2015 in The Best Lawyers in America© for Corporate Compliance Law, and he is listed in The Best Lawyers in America© under Corporate Governance Law, Corporate Law and Securities/Capital Markets Law since 2011.
