DJP SHAREHOLDER WM. KELLY NASH ARGUES BEFORE THE U.S. NINTH CIRCUIT COURT OF APPEALS 2019-01-11T18:47:11+00:00

Project Description

On January 9, 2019, Wm. Kelly Nash presented oral argument to a distinguished panel of federal appellate judges, requesting a $385,000 attorneys’ fees award granted by a California District Court be affirmed on appeal.  The fee award followed Mr. Nash and DJP shareholder Jordan Cameron’s success in obtaining a summary judgment dismissing an eight year long fraud and conspiracy lawsuit against several of the firm clients, including a New York Times Bestselling author and a certified national education provider.  Explaining what is at stake, Mr. Nash stated, “obtaining an attorneys’ fees award of this magnitude is extremely rare in complex commercial litigation.”  We were very pleased with the District Court’s analysis and decision and are hopeful the Ninth Circuit will uphold the award.
