Lifetime Products Founder to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (March, 2017) — World IP Day, April 26, 2017, is a day set aside around the globe to celebrate Creativity and Innovation. More than 50 of Utah’s most creative people and companies will be honored on this day at the 2017 Utah Genius awards ceremony. The Genius Awards program honors the Top 20 Utah inventors, the Top 20 Utah Patent companies by number of Patents issued and the Top 10 Trademark Registrants.
The Genius Awards program select the winners using data that comes directly from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Rather than a traditional voting or nomination process, the inventors and companies are the ones by their work deciding how many patents or trademarks are necessary to make the winner list every year. In 2016, there were 1917 patents issued in Utah and 2336 Trademarks.
The Intellectual Property practice section at Durham Jones & Pinegar is proud to be a presenting sponsor of the event and congratulates those who will be honored including Barry Mower, Founder of Lifetime Products, who will be presented with the 2016 Lifetime achievement award.
The award ceremony will be held at the Sheraton downtown Salt Lake City with a showcase starting at 11:00 am followed by a lunch at noon. Jeff Rust, co-founder of Corporate Alliance is slated to be the keynote speaker. Honorees will have the opportunity to display their most recent patented products or their most recent registered trademarks.
