Three D|J|P Attorneys to Present at The 2017 Utah Petroleum Marketers & Retailers Association Convention
Thorup, Hymas and Hoagland, attorneys with Durham Jones & Pinegar, will be presenting at the 2017 Utah Petroleum Marketers & Retailers Association Convention & Trade Show. The convention will be held September 13 – 15 at Zermatt Resort in Midway, Utah. Gary R. Thorup will present a state legislative update and forecast, Richard M. Hymas will speak on sexual harassment & discrimination, and Jonathan H. Hoagland will present on how to manage aging parent’s estates, end of life decisions and other estate planning issues. Important State and National updates and reports for the industry will also be presented at the convention, including an address by Utah Lt. Governor Spencer J. Cox.
Gary Thorup is a shareholder in the D|J|P Salt Lake City office. His practice focuses on federal, state and local taxation, administrative law and government affairs. He has served on and chaired numerous practice-related and community service boards including the Executive Board of the National Association of State Bar Tax Sections, an ABA Tax Section liaison organization, and as a member of advisory boards for the University of Utah’s College of Science and College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Richard Hymas is also a shareholder in the D|J|P Salt Lake City office, where he practices employment law and business litigation. Hymas serves on D|J|P Board of Directors and Executive Committee, is the Chair of the firm’s Employment Group and former Chair of the Litigation Section.
