St. George Office

Our St. George office is the largest law office in Southern Utah with over 10 attorneys. It has a full-range of practice, including litigation, real estate, tax, estate planning, and corporate law. Our office is located across the street from the courts building and the St. George City offices. We handle matters from all of Southern Utah, parts of Arizona and Southern Nevada, with attorneys licensed to practice in each of those states. Terry L. Wade is the managing attorney of our St. George office.

Durham Jones & Pinegar's St. George office celebrates 25 years of outstanding service in 2006. It is the largest, and one of the longest-standing, law-offices in Southern Utah. Steven E. Snow and David Nuffer founded the office in 1979 in an era of 4-digit phone numbers. Chris Engstrom, Lyle Drake and Terry Wade soon joined Steve and Dave, and SNOW, NUFFER, ENGSTROM, DRAKE & WADE (often referred to simply as "Snow Nuffer") was established as a premier Southern Utah law firm built on the principles of excellence, vision and integrity.

Throughout its 25-year history, Snow Nuffer has participated in much of Southern Utah's growth and prosperity, providing assistance to municipalities, businesses and individuals in areas such as real estate development, business organizations, tax and estate planning and litigation matters. Although Steve and Dave have since retired (Steve in 2001 to serve as a general authority for the LDS Church and Dave in 2002 to become a federal magistrate judge), long-time attorneys Chris Engstrom, Lyle Drake, Terry Wade, Jeff Starkey and Mike Day continue building the firm on its founding principles.

As part of its continual quest to provide superior services, Snow Nuffer combined forces in 2003 with Durham Jones & Pinegar, a premier Salt Lake law firm. "The merger has exceeded our expectations and provides our clients with a depth of experience and service never before possible," remarked Terry Wade. The St. George office, in addition to the services it has provided in the past, has expanded its services to include securities law compliance (for both public and private companies) and enhanced creditor bankruptcy assistance. With the merger, Durham Jones & Pinegar now provides its clients more geographic coverage throughout Utah than any other law firm, with offices in St. George, Salt Lake, and Ogden. The firm also recently entered into a correspondent law firm relationship with the largest law-firm in Utah County, Hill Johnson & Schmutz, to provide services to its clients throughout central Utah.

Durham Jones & Pinegar continues to expand its St. George services, hiring five new attorneys since 2003, two from large law firms with tax, business and securities expertise, one from a technology firm in Texas, a recent graduate from Brigham Young University Law School, and a recent graduate from the University of Utah College of Law. "Our depth of expertise is remarkable. We now have a total of twelve attorneys committed to providing clients the most cost-effective legal services possible," added Terry Wade.
