Salt Lake City — The law firm of Durham Jones & Pinegar (D|J|P) is pleased to announce that Philip C. Van Alstyne has been appointed to act as the new Managing Partner of the firm’s Las Vegas office.
Van Alstyne has been practicing law for more than 20 years. Originally from Salt Lake City, he attended the University of Utah where he received his bachelor’s degree in economics, and later he earned his Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University. Immediately following law school, Van Alstyne joined the law offices of Vargas & Bartlett (now Jones Vargas), and later Alverson Taylor Mortensen & Sanders. In 2003, he joined Bolick & Boyer which merged with Durham Jones & Pinegar in September 2009.
Van Alstyne is a member of D|J|P’s Tax & Estate Planning Section and its Litigation Section. He practices in the areas of construction, business, commercial and real estate litigation, and contested wills, probates and trust administration. Van Alstyne will supervise a team of eight full-time attorneys, plus staff, whose legal practices focus on estate planning, asset protection, general litigation and real estate law.
