Salt Lake City — The law firm Durham Jones & Pinegar (D|J|P) announced the election of its Board of Directors and appointment of a new managing partner in the firm’s Las Vegas office. New members of the board are Richard M. Hymas and Terry L. Wade. The new managing partner of the Las Vegas office is Philip C. Van Alstyne.
Hymas, a shareholder in the Salt Lake City office, was recently head of the firm’s litigation section. His practice focuses on employment law and business litigation, primarily representing employers, including large corporations, small business. Wade, a shareholder in the firm’s St. George office, specializes in real estate law and litigation, and as a certified mediator in Nevada and Utah, he frequently serves as a mediator in all types of legal matters. From 2003 to 2007, he was the managing partner of the St. George office.
Van Alstyne has been practicing law in Las Vegas for more than 20 years. He attended the University of Utah where he received his bachelor’s degree in economics, and later earned his J.D. from Brigham Young University. He is a member of D|J|P’s Tax & Estate Planning Section and its Litigation Section.
Those continuing to serve on the D|J|P Board are the firm’s three founding shareholders Paul M. Durham (real estate & banking), Jeffrey M. Jones (business & finance) and Managing Partner Kevin R. Pinegar (business & finance); Shareholder N. Todd Leishman (business & finance); Shareholder Joshua E. Little (business & finance, and current managing partner of the firm’s St. George office); and Shareholder David W. Tufts (business litigation).
