Salt Lake City — Shareholders at Durham Jones & Pinegar elected nine shareholders of the firm to its Board of Directors Jan. 7. Board members, serving one-year terms, include: Managing Partner Kevin R. Pinegar, Paul M. Durham, Richard M. Hymas, N. Todd Leishman, Joshua E. Little, Steven J. McCardell, Michael D. Rawlins, David (Dade) P. Rose and David W. Tufts. Hymas and Leishman return to the Board and Rawlins is new to the Board this year.

Richard M. Hymas currently serves as co-chair of the firm’s Litigation section and was a member of D|J|P’s Board of Directors in 2011 and 2012. Hymas’ practice focuses on employment law and business litigation. He is listed in Best Lawyers, Mountain States Super Lawyers and Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite. He also maintains an AV-rating with Martindale-Hubbell. Hymas received his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.

N. Todd Leishman served on the firm’s Board of Directors from 1999 to 2012. His practice concentrates on mergers and acquisitions. Leishman is listed in Chambers USA, Best Lawyers, Mountain States Super Lawyers and Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite. He also maintains an AV-Rating with Martindale-Hubbell and was named the 2012 Salt Lake City Lawyer of the Year in Securities / Capital Markets law by U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers in America. Leishman earned his J.D. from the S. J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.

Michael D. Rawlins’ practice focuses on commercial litigation, including construction litigation, real estate litigation, intellectual property litigation and more. Rawlins works in the firm’s Las Vegas office. He is listed in Mountain States Super Lawyers and maintains an AV-Rating with Martindale-Hubbell. He received his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU.

Paul M. Durham, a founder of the firm and member of its Board of Directors since 1991, was named Salt Lake City Lawyer of the Year in Litigation- Real Estate in 2014 by U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers in America. His practice concentrates on real estate and corporate law matters. Durham is also named in Best Lawyers, Mountain States Super Lawyers and Legal Elite. He maintains an AV-Rating with Martindale-Hubbell. Durham received his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.

Kevin R. Pinegar is the firm’s Managing Partner since 2007 and has been a member of the Board since 1994.  He is listed in Chambers USA, Best Lawyers and Legal Elite. He was named Salt Lake City Lawyer of the Year in Corporate Compliance Law in 2013 by U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers in America. Pinegar counsels clients on a variety of corporate, securities and business-related matters. He holds his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. He also maintains an AV-Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Joshua E. Little, a Board member since 2008, represents public and private companies in a range of corporate finance and business combination transactions. Little is currently the managing attorney in the firm’s St. George office.  He previously served as the chair of the firm’s Business & Finance Section. Little is listed in Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite, Mountain States Super Lawyers and he maintains an AV-Rating with Martindale-Hubbell. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Steven J. McCardell is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, has been a member of the firm’s Board since 2013 , and serves as the firm’s Ethics Counsel. He was named Salt Lake City Lawyer of the Year in Bankruptcy & Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency & Reorganization Law in 2013 by U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers in America. David (Dade) P. Rose served on the firm’s Board in 2007 to 2009 and again since 2013.  He previously served as the chair of the firm’s Real Estate & Banking sections. Rose has experience in real estate acquisitions and development, financing, land use law, leasing, mergers and acquisitions and entity formations. Rose has been named in Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

David W. Tufts, a member of the Board since 2010, served as the chair of D|J|P’s recruiting and associate development committees. He is listed in Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite, Best Lawyers, Mountain States Super Lawyers and he maintains an AV-Rating with Martindale-Hubbell. Tufts handles an array of business litigation matters. He received his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.
