Salt Lake City Shareholders at Durham Jones & Pinegar appointed nine attorneys to the firm’s Board of Directors Wednesday. The nine-member Board of Directors will serve for one year. Those elected to the board include Mark L. Astling, Richard M. Hymas, Jeffrey M. Jones, N. Todd Leishman, Joshua E. Little, Steven J. McCardell, Kevin R. Pinegar, Michael D. Rawlins and David W. Tufts.

 

Astling is a member of the firm’s Business & Finance section where he advises a spectrum of corporate and individual clients on federal and state tax issues. Astling also serves as vice-chair of the firm’s Business & Finance section. Astling has been named as a Mountain States Super Lawyers Rising Star and one of Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite. He received his J.D. from University of Minnesota Law School.

Hymaspractice focuses on employment law and business litigation. He serves as the chair of the firm’s employment section and is the former chair of the litigation section. Hymas is regularly listed in Best Lawyers in America, Mountain States Super Lawyers and Utah’s Legal Elite. He maintains an AV rating with Martindale Hubbell. He received his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU.

Jones represents public and private companies in a range of corporate and securities matters. He is a founder of the firm. Jones is listed in Best Lawyers in America, Mountain States Super Lawyers, Utah’s Legal Elite and he maintains an AV rating with Martindale Hubbell. He received his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School.

Leishman’s practice concentrates on corporate and business law. He is listed in Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Mountain States Super Lawyers and Utah’s Legal Elite. He also maintains an AV rating with Martindale Hubbell. He received his J.D. from the S. J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.

Little is the managing attorney of the firm’s St. George office where he represents public and private companies in a range of corporate finance and business combination transactions. He is listed in Utah’s Legal Elite and maintains an AV rating with Martindale Hubbell. Little received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

McCardell represents parties in interest in business bankruptcy and insolvency matters. He is named in Best Lawyers in America, Mountain States Super Lawyers and Utah’s Legal Elite. He is AV rated with Martindale Hubbell. He received his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU.

Pinegar serves as the managing partner of D|J|P. He was named Salt Lake City Lawyer of the Year for Corporate Governance Law by Best Lawyers in America in 2015 and 2013. He is also listed in Chambers USA and Utah’s Legal Elite. His practice focuses on securities and corporate governance. He received his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU.

Rawlins focuses on commercial litigation including corporate, construction and real estate litigation. He serves as the managing attorney for the Las Vegas office. He maintains an AV rating with Martindale Hubbell and received his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School.

Tufts is a trial attorney who handles an array of business litigation matters, including state and federal trials.
