Two Durham Jones & Pinegar shareholders who practice in the firm’s Salt Lake office have again been ranked at the top of their field by the guide 2009 Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Kevin Pinegar and Todd Leishman are listed as leading Utah attorneys in the area of Corporate/M&A by the highly regarded global guide to the legal profession, based in the U.K. Todd Leishman is ranked by Chambers in the Corporate/M&A area for the third year in a row, Kevin Pinegar for the second. About D|J|P’s Corporate/M&A practice, Chambers says, “This firm is ‘exceptional at both partner and associate levels.’ With three offices in Utah and one in Nevada, it offers good coverage of the western USA. The corporate and securities group covers general corporate and transactional work, and international, environmental and securities matters. Todd Leishman has a broad corporate practice encompassing M&A, corporate financing, corporate governance and securities. Kevin Pinegar is a founder of the firm and its current CEO. He returned to practice after a three-year spell as president of a branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He specializes in business and corporate law, including securities.” The annual Chambers rankings are based on in-depth interviews with leading private practice attorneys and key in-house counsel, and no lawyers are included unless they are strongly recommended by the market.
