Salt Lake City — Durham Jones & Pinegar shareholder, Tim Wheelwright, has been named a “Chamber Champion” for his individual contribution to the success of the Salt Lake Chamber. Wheelwright’s practice concentrates on immigration matters. Durham Jones & Pinegar is the state’s fifth-largest law firm.
Other recipients include Ray Dardano of Marlin Business Bank, Karen Gunn of Salt Lake Community College, Janet Jorgensen of Salt Lake Magazine, Dave Loach of IC Group, and Grant Nielsen of KSL News-Radio.
Wheelwright also was named recently as the Best Lawyers’ 2014 Salt Lake City Immigration Law “Lawyer of the Year” and is consistently listed among the Best Lawyers in America, Mountain States Super Lawyers, Utah Business Magazine’s Legal Elite and the International Who’s Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers.
Gov. Gary R. Herbert appointed him to the Utah Commission on Immigration and Migration, and he also serves as Chair of the Salt Lake Chamber’s Immigration Taskforce. He handles both routine and complex immigration matters for companies and individuals.
In addition to honoring individuals, the Chamber will honor Outstanding Corporate Partners, Entrepreneur of the Year, and Community Partner of the Year at the Chamber’s 126th Annual Meeting to be held a the Marriott Downtown at City Creek in Salt Lake City on Sept. 13.
