DJP Adds Eleven Attorneys

Durham Jones & Pinegar, Utah's fastest growing law firm, has hired eleven new attorneys over the past several months. Duane Gillman, Richard Hymas, Steven McCardell and Tim Wheelwright have joined the firm as shareholders. Tim Cory has joined the firm in its new Las Vegas, Nevada office as an of counsel attorney. Matthew Grimmer, Sean Pettey, Mike Thomson, Craig Winder, Daniel Rogers, and Riley Snow have joined as associates.

Shareholders

Duane Gillman joins Durham Jones & Pinegar as a shareholder. Formerly of McDowell & Gillman, he joined the firm when McDowell & Gillman merged with Durham Jones & Pinegar. He brings more than 25 years of bankruptcy law experience to the firm. Gillman is also a U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee. He received his juris doctor from the University of Utah College of Law, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah.

Richard Hymas joins Durham Jones & Pinegar as a shareholder and chairman of the firm's employment law section. Hymas has more than 25 years of employment law experience, most recently as partner at the Salt Lake City firm Nielsen & Senior. He received his juris doctor degree cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University, and his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University.

Steven McCardell joins Durham Jones & Pinegar as a shareholder. McCardell has more than 20 years of bankruptcy law experience, most recently at the Utah firm Mabey Murray LC. He received his juris doctor degree cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University, and his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University.

Tim Wheelwright joins Durham Jones & Pinegar as a shareholder in the firm's employment section and immigration practice group. Wheelright's practice focuses on employment-based and other complex immigration matters, international and domestic adoptions, and general business transactions. He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and currently serves as the chair of the Utah Chapter. Prior to joining Durham Jones & Pinegar, Wheelright was a shareholder with the Salt Lake City firm Kirton & McConkie, where he was head of the immigration practice group. He received his juris doctor degree from the University of Utah College of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University.

Associates

Matthew Grimmer joins Durham Jones & Pinegar as an associate in the firm's litigation deparment. Grimmer is a trial attorney with trial, appellate, arbitration and mediation experience. He has represented local and national companies, as well as individuals, in complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Grimmer served as law clerk to Judge David Hittner of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Thereafter, he worked with the nationally-renowned Houston litigation boutique Susman Godfrey. He recieved his juris doctor degree from the Syracuse University College of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University.

Sean Pettey joins Durham Jones & Pinegar as an associate in the firm's corporate and securities section. Prior to joining the firm, Pettey practiced law in San Diego, California, at Latham & Watkins. Pettey received his juris doctor degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah.

Mike Thomson joins Durham Jones & Pinegar as an associate in the firm's bankruptcy section. Thomson was formerly with McDowell & Gillman. Thomson received his juris doctor degree from the University of Utah, and his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University.

Craig Winder joins Durham Jones & Pinegar as an associate. His practice focuses on real estate, land use matters, and corporate law. Prior to joining the firm, Winder practiced law in Spokane, Washington, at Paine, Hamblen, Coffin, Brooke & Miller. He received his juris doctor degree from the University of Washington School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University.

Daniel Rogers joins the firm's St. George office as an associate in the tax and estate planning section. Rogers received his juris doctor degree from Boston University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University. Rogers was in-house counsel with Beamstat Inc., in San Antonio, Texas before joining Durham Jones & Pinegar.

Riley Snow joins the firm's St. George Office as an associate in the real estate section. Prior to joining the firm, Snow worked for the Utah Division of Water Rights. He received his juris doctor degree from the University of Utah College of Law, and received his undergraduate degree from Utah State University.
