DJP Opens Las Vegas Office

Durham Jones & Pinegar has opened a new office in Las Vegas, Nevada. The managing attorney in that office will be Timothy S. Cory. The initial focus of the Las Vegas office will be bankruptcy work. Mr. Cory is a United States Bankruptcy Trustee and also practices as an attorney in Southern Nevada. He has handled prominent Chapter 11 reorganization work for over 20 years. He will be of counsel to the firm.

Mr. Cory graduated with a B.A. from Brigham Young University in 1979, and he received his J.D. from Washington College of Law in 1982. A native of Nevada, Mr. Cory has been an attorney in Southern Nevada for over 25 years.

Mr. Cory is active in politics in Las Vegas. He ran for the Clark County Commission and served as Chairman of the Republican Party for Southern Nevada. He has been a member of the Clark County Neighborhood Casino Commission. Mr. Cory is a member of the John Sherman Myers Society of Washington College of Law, and also serves on the Nevada Law Foundation.

This new office will provide an opportunity for DJP's bankruptcy attorneys to handle sophisticated Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters in Nevada. It will also provide DJP's litigation attorneys with an office of the firm in Nevada, which will facilitate the firms handling of cases in Nevada.
