< Return to Articles DJP Real Estate AttorneysPresent Real Estate Seminar (Read full article) April 22, 2004 Paul Durham and Dade Rose were featured speakers at a Real Estate Seminar on May 6, 2004, entitled "Real Estate Purchase and Sale Transactions -- How to Do Them Right." The seminar, sponsored by Sterling Education Services, focused on practical aspect of buying and selling real estate, from tying up the property to remedying things that go wrong. Topics discussed included drafting real estate contracts, aquiring title insurance, and dealing with defaults.
Mr. Durham is President of Durham Jones & Pinegar. He practices in real estate law, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial litigation. He represents developers, resort management companies, lenders, real estate brokers, real property owners and other businesses. In his real estate practice, Mr. Durham has substantial experience in contract negotiation and preparation, real estate closings, escrow instructions and documentation, real estate purchases and sasles, financing, workouts, easements and right-of-way matters, leasing, real estate development, subdivisions, eminent domain, zoning and land use. Mr. Durham received his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Utah. He received his J.D. degree from the University of Utah College of Law, where he was Managing Editor of the Utah Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Board.
Mr. Rose is a shareholder with Durham Jones & Pinegar where he is the Chair of the firm's Real Estate and Banking Section. His practice concentrates on real estate development, land use law, business transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Rose received his B.S., cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma, from the University of Utah, and his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was senior editor of the Journal of Public Policy.
