2016 Legal Elite: Las Vegas DJP Attorneys 

Congratulations to the Silver State’s top attorneys!  The 2016 Legal Elite were recently announced, highlighting Nevada’s top attorneys as chosen by their peers. Polling for the 2016 list began in February of this year and over 6,000 nominations were collected from licensed attorneys throughout the state. These attorneys passed several levels of scrutiny and then vetted through the State Bar of Nevada to confirm their good standing.


Among the poll’s results are four Shareholders from Durham Jones & Pinegar, including:

Bradley SlightingBradley S. Slighting is a member of the Durham Jones & Pinegar Litigation Section. He h
as represented clients from a number of different industries including construction, real estate, hospitality, medical, and financial. In addition to being included in the Legal Elite, Mr. Slighting was also included on the list of the Best Up and Coming attorneys, one of only 50 throughout the entire state of Nevada.

Anthony AgerAnthony R. Ager practices in the areas of plaintiffs’ personal injury, landlord tenant law, commercial litigation and both gaming and non-gaming collections. Mr. Ager has represented a wide variety of personal injury claimants in catastrophic and less-severe injury cases. His landlord tenant practice includes representing commercial landlords in eviction proceedings and counseling landlords on resolving disputes with tenants. As a commercial litigator, Mr. Ager represents businesses in Nevada’s state and federal courts and draws on his extensive experience in gaming and non-gaming collections to assist clients in collecting on judgments in all of his practice areas.

Craig NewmanCraig S. Newman’s litigation practice is broad based. His cases range from complex commercial disputes to assisting landlords in evictions. Mr. Newman regularly practices in all State and Federal courts in Southern Nevada. Mr. Newman works closely with some of the largest casinos in Nevada, where he obtains and executes upon judgments. Mr. Newman also regularly represents developers, investors and contractors in business and real estate disputes. He maintains an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell and he is also recognized by Mountain States Super Lawyers. Mr. Newman was included in Best Lawyers® 2016 in the practice area of Commercial Litigation.

Michael RawlinsMichael D. Rawlins enjoys a diverse commercial litigation practice, including corporate litigation, construction litigation, real estate litigation, intellectual property litigation, contract disputes, and partnership disputes. He also represents creditors and landlords in bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Rawlins is a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and serves as the Managing Attorney of the Las Vegas office.

Mr. Rawlins serves as a District Court Judge, Pro Tempore, presiding over cases in the short-trial program. He also volunteers for the Children’s Attorneys Project, representing abused and neglected children in court proceedings.
