David Tufts Appointed to Durham Jones & Pinegar Board of Directors

Salt Lake — Law firm Durham Jones & Pinegar (DJP) is pleased to announce that David W. Tufts been appointed to the firm’s Board of Directors.   Tufts is an experienced trial attorney who handles business litigation, including state and federal trials as first chair, and appeals before the Utah Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. He also sits as a Judge Pro Tempore in the Small Claims Division of the Second District Court in Layton, Utah. He has decided more than 70 small claims trials since his appointment in 2006. Tufts has more than 15 years litigation experience in the areas of contract disputes, real property rights, enforcement of commercial guaranties and security interests, enforcement of intellectual property rights, fraud, unfair competition, unjust enrichment, technology disputes, construction matters, mechanics liens enforcement, employment disputes, and real property matters.  Within the firm, Tufts also serves as Chair of DJP's Recruiting Committee. Recently, based upon the recommendation of the Supreme Court's Committee on Professionalism, the Utah Supreme Court appointed Tufts to serve as a mentor for the New Lawyer Training Program during its 2010inaugural year.
