Colby C. Nuttall
Mr. Nuttall's practice primarily focuses on preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications for filing in the United States and in foreign countries. Mr. Nuttall has drafted and prosecuted applications directed to general mechanical systems, computer software and hardware, medical devices, exercise equipment, aerodynamics technologies, oil and gas down-hole tools and e-commerce technologies such as computer payment systems.
Mr. Nuttall also engages in trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and in the preparation of licensing agreements, confidentiality agreements and other agreements related to intellectual property.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Nuttall worked as a mechanical engineer for a large government defense contractor in its shock and vibration laboratory which tests ICBM missile components for the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Nuttall also worked for the nation's largest manufacturer of home exercise equipment and has experience in computer software programming and in the thermal sciences. During his undergraduate education, Mr. Nuttall participated in the design and manufacture of alternative insulation materials and techniques to insulate the external tank of the space shuttle.
